Rex - Local Foster - American Staffordshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Princeton, Massachusetts

Rex's future is looking much brighter than his past! Picked up as a stray and never claimed, it was clear from the moment he arrived that Rex had once known the comforts of home. He settled into foster care with ease, and now that he's in New England, he's ready to find the forever family he deserves.

Rex is an incredibly social, happy-go-lucky boy who genuinely enjoys people. He loves making new human friends and has also lived happily with other dogs his own size without issue. He enjoys having canine company and would be thrilled to have a doggy buddy to hang out and play with.

We do want to be upfront about one thing: Rex recently had an incident with a small dog. Thankfully, no injuries occurred, but it made us think Rex may simply not be a fan of little dogs. Because of that, we're looking for a home for Rex without small dogs. We think he'll be much happier with canine companions closer to his own size.

Rex's foster family has also discovered that this handsome guy comes with some pretty great manners. He is wonderfully behaved in his crate, keeps it clean, has had no accidents, and doesn't try to make an escape. He knows several commands, including "Load Up," and happily hops into the car or SUV--so he's ready for road trips and adventures!

With a medium energy level, Rex enjoys playtime and activity but is equally happy settling down with his people once the fun is over. He's the kind of dog who wants to be part of the family and included in whatever you're doing.

Rex has already shown us what a wonderful companion he can be. Now he's looking for a loving forever home where he can keep blossoming, preferably with a dog his own size to keep him company.
