Meet Lucy

Lucy is a beautiful 7-month-old white German Shepherd whose story started with a little bit of mystery--and a whole lot of luck.

A few weeks ago, Lucy simply appeared in the garage of an amazing couple. They immediately did everything they could to find her family, reaching out to local shelters and even shelters several towns over, hoping someone was searching for her. Unfortunately, no one ever came forward.

Thankfully, their search connected them with one of our southern fosters, and Lucy is now safe and sound with PAWS New England and ready to find her forever people.

And y'all... this girl is the TOTAL package.

Lucy is wonderful with dogs, cats, kids, and grown-ups. For a six-month-old German Shepherd, she has an amazingly calm, easygoing personality. She enjoys playing and being part of the action, but she's also perfectly happy soaking up attention--and she firmly believes belly rubs are a required tax for being in her presence.

Her current foster home has given her plenty of opportunities to show just how adaptable she is. She shares her home with a Great Dane, a Bernese Mountain Dog, a cat, and kids, and she has fit right in. The neighborhood kids adore her, and Lucy is more than happy to soak up every ounce of attention they're willing to give.

She was even a complete rockstar at the vet for her spay. While most dogs might be a little stressed by the experience, Lucy kept the veterinary staff entertained with her ridiculous sleeping positions and sweet personality. 😂

Lucy somehow managed to wander into exactly the right garage when she needed help most. Now we just need to help her wander into the heart--and home--of the family she was meant to find.

Beautiful. Sweet. Social. Calm. Dog-friendly. Cat-friendly. Kid-approved. Professional belly-rub collector.
