Meet Mila, a beautiful one-year-old girl with a playful personality, a zest for life, and a whole lot of love to give!

Mila recently joined Underdog Animal Rescue after being saved from a local high-kill shelter, where her future was uncertain. Thanks to a wonderful foster family who stepped up to save her life, Mila is now safe and getting the opportunity to experience everything life has to offer.

As for her breed, your guess is as good as ours! We suspect she may be some combination of Staffordshire Terrier, Boxer, and Shepherd, but she’s truly a one-of-a-kind mixed breed. She has an adorable long snout, a slender, athletic build, and a beautiful face that’s hard to resist.

Mila is a happy, energetic, and playful young girl who loves to have fun! She’s already doing wonderfully with other dogs, both big and small, and seems to enjoy having canine companions. She’s also been introduced to the resident cats in her foster home. While she does show some interest in chasing them, her behavior appears more curious and playful than malicious. We’re still learning about her compatibility with cats, so a home with cats would require patient introductions and supervision.

For a dog who has only recently arrived in foster care, Mila is making fantastic progress! She’s doing well with both house training and crate training and is beginning to settle into a routine. She’s a smart young girl with plenty of potential and is eager to experience the world around her.

We’re looking for an active, committed family who understands that Mila is still young and has plenty of energy to burn. She would thrive with a family that enjoys daily walks, outdoor adventures, playtime, and continued training. A home with a securely fenced yard would be ideal, giving her a safe place to run, explore, and enjoy being a dog.

Mila would likely enjoy having another playful, well-matched dog in the home, but she could also be perfectly happy as an only dog with a family dedicated to keeping her active, engaged, and socialized.

Like any young rescue dog, Mila will need patience, consistency, structure, and positive reinforcement as she continues learning how to be the best companion possible. She’s already off to a wonderful start, and we can’t wait to see her blossom!
