Meet Simba!

Before Simba ever knew comfort, toys, or a soft place to sleep, his story began in heartbreak. Our volunteers were called to help a mama dog and her newborn puppies, and what they found was devastating. The conditions were horrific. One puppy had already passed away. Another (this baby right here) was trapped in a chain link fence while flies were swarming. It was the kind of scene you never forget. The end of this video is hard to watch, but it's the reality of what happened.

But Simba? Simba chose life. And now, this sweet boy AND US are determined to make the rest of his story a beautiful one.

Today Simba is thriving in foster care, where his days are filled with puppy wrestling matches, belly rubs, and naps piled up with the people he loves most. He’s the perfect blend of playful goofball and snuggly best friend. One minute he’s leading the charge on an important puppy adventure… the next he’s curled up against you like he’s known you forever.

Simba is everything puppies are meant to be: joyful, curious, mischievous, loving, exhausting, hilarious, and absolutely unforgettable. Raising a puppy takes patience, consistency, and a sense of humor—but the payoff? A lifetime of unconditional love from a dog who will think you hung the moon. He's young enough to be fine with other pets and can live with kiddos who are sturdy to hang with a growing energetic puppy.

Once submitted, we will reach out to approved applicants by phone. We may also suggest other amazing dogs in our care who could be a great fit for your home.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $450 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped. Note: We cannot guarantee breed mix or full grown size. Both are estimated based on any known history and physical observations. We cannot guarantee he will stay under 60lbs.
