Meet Scooby: Our Little Miracle
At just 9 lbs, Scooby is a tiny package of pure resilience and joy. This 10-month-old Shih Tzu is the definition of a "heart dog." Though he has faced more challenges in his first year than most pups, he handles every day with a wagging tail and a spirit that is absolutely unbreakable. Born with Spina Bifida, Scooby cannot control his bladder or bowel movements. While that may sound daunting, he is a total professional about his care! He wears a belly band during the day and a diaper at night. He even has a nightly bath routine that he has mastered-at bedtime, he lays down like a tiny angel, ready to be tucked in, and sleeps soundly through the night.
Small but Mighty Don't let his medical needs fool you-Scooby doesn't let them slow him down for a second!
Active & Playful: He can navigate steps like a pro and absolutely loves exploring the outdoors.
The "Bunny Hop": Because his back legs move together when he runs, he has the most adorable little hop that will brighten your darkest day.
Smart & Attentive: He is doing great with leash training, comes when called, and is always ready for a snuggle.
Scooby's Perfect Match- We are looking for a very special adopter for this very special boy.
His ideal home includes Compassionate Care: Someone comfortable with a consistent routine involving diapers, belly bands, and nightly baths.
Time to Give: A home where someone is around most of the day (work-from-home or flexible schedule) is preferred, as he thrives on companionship and shouldn't be crated for long stretches
A Fenced Yard: A secure space where he can safely zoom around and enjoy the sunshine.
Patience: Someone who sees past the "special needs" to the happy, capable, and loving 9 lb puppy underneath.

He loves other dogs of all sizes and would enjoy a canine companion, though one is not required.
He is good with kids and loves extra play time. While he has not been officially tested with cats, based on his temperament and behavior, we believe he would do well with a catsavvy introduction.

This sweet boy will do best with an adopter who sees his needs as manageable and his love as immeasurable.
