***Bowie is a chill dude able to coexist peacefully with other calm cats. It would be great if he has a cat buddy or two in his forever home to hang out with and shoot the breeze.

Hey there. How’s it going? Are you looking for a handsome, studly, buff — and I mean both the colour and the physique — ex-tomcat? Well then, let me introduce myself just in case!

I came from a colony that has been the target of dedicated feeders and trappers. Initially, when I was finally brought in, the intention was to get me to the vet clinic for the Works, then I was to be released back to my colony. Well, I thought, ‘no way! Nuh-uh. That’s not gonna be for me!’, and set out to convince my rescuer that I should definitely not be going back out, but staying in where it’s warm, cozy, with regular meals served like clockwork, and yeah, humans who give me pets, scritches and coo over my handsomeness!

Anytime you are looking my way, I will take that as an invitation for some much-appreciated loving. I enjoy rubbing on you, and making my intentions clear with affectionate head boops, asking for back rubs and scritches. I don’t mind being picked up if you wanna cuddle, cuz that’s something I never had before and I like it — a lot!!

But, having said that, I also have limits and don’t like being pushed around, by people or cats. I may give a little nip if you are stopping me from checking out something interesting, say, like an opening door. I don’t mean no harm, just letting you know my frame of mind at that moment; even though I guess I understand why you are stopping me from going through that door. Old habits and all. Gimme some time to get over them, if you can be patient for a bit.

I have no issues approaching other cats as long as they are chill and friendly; what can I say, I am a lover not a fighter! Kids are okay too, as long as they are calm, not grabby, jumpy or shrill, and get that cats have personal space too, and respect that.

I guess I am named after the awesome, musical genius? That seems appropriate cuz I can make beautiful music with/for you too. What do you say? I am ready whenever you are!

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
