**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**
***Dexter is looking forward to having a cat buddy or two in his new home. His siblings would be great options, but Dexter is happy to make new friends!
If there exists a dictionary definition of a ginger cat, Dexter would be right beside it! This little orange boy is a tiny troublemaker with a big personality. Curious, playful, and always looking for his next adventure, Dexter has that unmistakable ginger-cat attitude — and he knows how to keep everyone entertained!
Dexter loves to engage with people and play. Whether it’s chasing a toy, investigating something he probably shouldn’t be investigating, or simply getting involved in whatever you’re doing, this little guy likes to be part of the action. He has plenty of kitten energy and would thrive in a home where he’ll have opportunities for play, enrichment, and lots of interaction.
Dexter doesn’t particularly enjoy being picked up, so he would prefer to show you affection with his feet firmly on the ground. He is much happier playing with you, engaging with you, and choosing when to come over for attention.
Dexter is not bonded with his siblings and can be adopted separately. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, mischievous kitten with a true ginger personality, Dexter may be your guy!
Would you like to make Dexter a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.
Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.
Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
