Lorenzo - Tabby Cat for Adoption in Maple Ridge, British Columbia

Every flower blooms in its own time, and Lorenzo is patiently waiting for the right furrever family to help him truly blossom. Beneath his shy exterior is a bright, playful spirit just waiting to fill a home with light and love. Lorenzo is around 1.5 to 2 years old and came to us from one of our partner shelters on the island. He arrived timid and fearful of people, but he has been making quiet, wonderful progress-one brave little paw step at a time. While still shy, Lorenzo's cautious exterior is slowly softening, and we're starting to see more of his friendly, gentle, and sweet nature emerge. He is curious about people and is starting to welcome them into his space. With familiar friends, Lorenzo will come over to say hello with a happy chirp, offer a few adorable side rolls, and even sometimes boop your hand with a curious sniff. His fun-loving, playful side also comes alive, and he's quick to join in the fun, especially if a wand toy is involved.

Lorenzo is looking for a calm, adult-only home with patient adopters who understand that bonds with shy cats take time to build but are deeply rewarding. He simply needs a little time, space, and gentle encouragement to feel safe and let his lovely purrsonality shine. Lorenzo thrives in the company of feline friends and "must" have a confident, friendly cat in his new home to help him settle in and continue growing his socialization. He is a healthy boy and uses his litter box well. You may notice a little tear staining beneath one of Lorenzo's eyes, a leftover reminder of a respiratory issue he had when he first arrived. Because he's still learning that hands can be trusted, we haven't been able to clean it just yet. We hope this small impurrfection won't stop someone from getting to know this wonderful boy.
