Meet NICOLAS!
He is 4 months old and a mere 4 lbs! While we don't know his exact breed (best guess is Maine Coon and domestic short or medium hair), he's clearly an orange kitty. Please note this little adorable and relatively large pink ears with fluff coming out of them and his bushy tail! He's really really cute!
We orange kitties have a....how shall we say it....reputation! But Nicolas doesn't really have those qualities usually associated with orange cats! In fact, he's quite the opposite! He is calm, even-tempereted, well behaved, and observant! Nicolas is truly a very special, gentle and sweet SWEET cat who loves pets and attention!
Nicolas is the kind of cat that takes a second to get to know new people, and will observe the newbies from the top of his cat tree at first. Once he deems these people are his friends, he is all in and there's no going back!
He absolutely LOVES being petted and is a total purr machine! Please see video (sound up!). He enjoys cuddles and easily allows handling. He is also wonderful at the vet and even lets the vet, whom he barely knows, handle him!
He has a sweet and gentle disposition and he gets along very well with both cats and dogs. We have many photos and videos of him with dogs and cats that we can share! He's currently being fostered in a large home with 11 rescue dogs of various sizes and ages and 2 tiny foster kittens (his rescuer is an amazing person!!). It's actually quite funny to watch Nicolas with the younger kittens because they are going WILD in the cat enclosure, and he will just watch their ridiculous antics!
Nicolas is an adaptable cat and would do well as the only cat in the household or with other cats or dogs. He easily can entertain himself with his toys!
He is a calm kitten who is not very vocal! Purring? Yes. Meowing at 3am for food, no! He's chill!
He enjoys chicken, wet food, dry food and treats. He's not particularly picky.
He is also completely litter box trained! He's a smart little boy.
He is neutered, 3dx negative, has had his rabies vaccine, FeLV vaccine and his FVRCP vaccine. He is also fecal negative.
HIS STORY: His rescuer picked up Nicolas one day from the colony of cats she regularly feeds outside her home. He stood out as he was very sweet and loved attention and she knew he would make a wonderful pet!
PLEASE NOTE: Nicolas is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to his forever home once adopted. Adoption fees listed here ($275) cover all transport related costs to the States. There are NO other fees. :)
