Meet KIRA!
She is estimated to be a little over 4 months old as of early July 2026 and weighs 21 lbs. Full grown, we think she'll be around 35-38 lbs.
We think she is a poodle/schnauzer mix simply based upon her looks. Scruffy but also with more hairlike hair. While we cannot guarantee that she is hypoallergenic, her hair type is not the super shedding type. We also know her mother, and her mother has hair that is not the super shedding type (more hairlike).
Kira is your good-old-fashioned-puppy: happy, sweet, playful and gentle. She LOVES other dogs, is playful is just a typical happy puppy!
Just like her littermates, she has a very balanced energy. She is somewhere in the middle. Not crazy bouncing off the walls but not a couch potato. She is currently being fostered with her siblings whom she loves to romp around with in the fosters backyard!
This whole litter is truly so gentle and sweet - they all have wonderful temperaments and would be great family dogs. You cannot go wrong!
Kira has been GREAT with every person he has met, including children.
She would be great with cats given her personality, and now is the perfect age for introductions!
**PLEASE NOTE: Kira is currently in Puerto Rico and will fly to her forever home once adopted! Please note that we can easily ship in cabin with a person to many airports along the East Coast including JFK, EWR, BOS, PHL, BWI, BDL, DCA, IAD, TPA, ORD and many more! The process is incredibly easy to get your dog over from Puerto Rico and we have done it thousands (not an exaggeration) of times!***
Please feel free to email us with any questions about him! We are a small all-volunteer boutique rescue and we see every email that comes through, so your inquiry will not get lost! See below for application info.

We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority.
Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.
In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
