Dior's journey to WARL began when his owner could no longer care for him and entrusted him to a friend. Although that friend did their best to provide for him, they ultimately realized they could not continue meeting his needs and made the difficult decision to help him find a brighter future.

The transition to shelter life wasn't easy for Dior. Understandably overwhelmed by all the changes, he spent much of his time hiding behind blankets and keeping to himself while he settled in. Trust takes time for some cats, and Dior has shown us that he's one of those sensitive souls who needs a little patience before letting his personality shine.

As he's become more comfortable in the adoption area, we've started to see the real Dior emerge. He's beginning to greet staff, watch the world around him with wide, curious eyes, and show signs of the affectionate companion we know he can be. Every day, he grows a little braver and a little more hopeful that his forever family will find him.

His previous owner shared that Dior is a very talkative boy who loves interactive play. Laser pointers, toy mice, and cat trees are some of his favorite things, and he'll happily spend his day chasing, climbing, and exploring. He would thrive in a home where he receives plenty of love, attention, and opportunities to play and bond with his people.

Dior also has a history of doing well with other cats, dogs, and children, making him a wonderful candidate for many different types of households. We believe that once he's settled into a loving home and feels safe again, his playful and social personality will continue to blossom.

Walk-in adoption hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. We cannot place holds on animals outside of adoption hours, and we are unable to accept payment to reserve pets.
