Hoot's story began with heartbreak - she and her companion, Holler, were found abandoned overnight on a Worcester sidewalk, left in cat carriers with no explanation. When staff arrived to help, both cats were terrified, hissing and growling out of pure fear. We don't know where they came from, whether they lived together, or why someone chose to leave them like that.

But here's the part that will stay with you:

Hoot has decided that people are still worth loving.

Now safe in our Cat Program Coordinator's office, Hoot has revealed herself to be one of the sweetest, most affectionate cats we've met. This beautiful tuxedo girl has let go of the fear she arrived with and is showing her true, joyful self.

Hoot has a little ritual - she tucks herself under a blanket, waiting for someone gentle to lift it slowly. First, you'll see her tiny face peek out... then her whole body emerges as she comes forward with pure excitement, ready to share love. She melts into affection, climbing right into your lap, giving soft hugs, kisses, and full-body rubs like she's greeting someone she's missed dearly.

Walk-in Adoption hours are Monday's, Wednesday's and Thursdays 12:00-4:00. Please note, we cannot hold, pend or accept payment ahead of time for adoptions.
