Some cats have a way of making you feel appreciated from the moment you meet them. Caspurr is one of those cats.

This handsome gentleman arrived at WARL as a stray, although he was already neutered, which tells us he once had a home of his own. From the very beginning, Caspurr showed everyone what a sweetheart he is, purring happily throughout his intake exam and soaking up the attention.

Like many mature cats, Caspurr needed a little TLC when he arrived. He had some mild dental disease that was easily treated with a routine dental cleaning, and no teeth needed to be removed. He also had some minor skin irritation, likely related to fleas, which has since been treated. Today, Caspurr is feeling great and is in wonderful shape for an 8-year-old cat.

And what a handsome boy he is! With his soft eyes, adorable little lynx-like ear tufts, and striking face that hints at a wildcat ancestor, Caspurr certainly looks the part of a rugged adventurer. But don't let his looks fool you. This boy is all heart. He's constantly purring, loves gentle attention, and has the sweetest expression, as if he's saying "thank you" every time you look at him.

Caspurr seems like the kind of cat who would thrive in a peaceful home where he can spend his days relaxing in a sunny window, watching birds flutter by, or enjoying the fresh air from a secure catio. We think he would do well with a quieter family, perhaps one with older children who appreciate a calm and affectionate companion. Or no children at all.

We don't know how Caspurr feels about dogs, and while he doesn't seem bothered by the other cats at the shelter, he gives us the impression that he'd be perfectly content being the king of his own castle.
