Meet Shishito and Tobasco, a bonded pair of kitten siblings! They are approximately 1 and 1/2 years old.

Shishito is a grey and white domestic short-hair with a short tail who has transformed into an absolute cuddle bug. Though he can still be a little shy at first and is warming up at his own pace, his love for affection completely takes over—he now constantly seeks out pets, craves being brushed, and will happily claim your lap as his personal lounge spot. He is a delightfully aloof, relaxed guy who enjoys basking in sunbeams, deep chin scratches, and wrestling with his sister. Known for greeting his foster parent every morning with a soft, single meow, Shishito is a perfect couch companion whose favorite things include Churu treats, running through cat tunnels, and resting in his cat cave.

Tabasco is a svelte domestic short-hair with a spotted white coat and a long orange tail, who sits on the opposite end of the cat spectrum from her brother. Always alert and incredibly smart, she isn't quite ready for physical pets just yet, but she is deeply fascinated by her humans! She loves to follow her foster mom around, watch her every move, and will bravely step up to take treats right from her hand. While she is opening up on her own slow-and-steady timeline, she is confident enough to watch you walk by without startling. A fierce huntress, Tabasco loves bird-watching out the window, hiding in cupboards, and carrying around the toys she has proudly captured.

Though they have very different personalities, these two siblings share a beautiful bond, love snuggling together, and are looking for their forever homes.

What Shishito and Tobasco are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They're new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous.
- They'll need extra time and TLC to build trust.
- They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age.
- They have a positive history with dogs.
- They have no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Consistent with Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV) guidelines, ACP follows current shelter medicine practices and does not routinely test every healthy, low-risk cat for FIV and FeLV.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in Shishito and Tobasco! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt them by filling out this questionnaire: https://alleycatproject.org/adopt

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire and we will not respond. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match.

Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
