Ms Maynard and Riley - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Seattle, Washington

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt
Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder.

Meet Ms Maynard and Riley, a bonded pair of kitten friends! They are approximately 6 and 7 months old.

Ms Maynard is a black and white cow print, with an almost Mickey outline on her side. She has a natural kink in her tail from birth. (Her sister siblings all had the same tail kink!) Ms Maynard is super sweet, loving chin scrubs and being cuddled. She will flop down against you when she wants big pets. Ms Maynard loves chasing springs and zooming around to find the action! Don’t let her size fool you - Ms Maynard will gulp down any flavor of treat tube!

Riley is a black and white tuxedo who likes to spend her time watching you do chores and chasing her buddies. She loves wool toys and can be found carrying her wool mouse around the house. Riley is quiet and polite, and watches over Ms Maynard closely! She can’t get enough of dangling toys, treat time, and rest time with her humans.

Together, these sisters from different Misses have matching sweet dispositions. They are ready to get petted and spoiled with love!

What Ms Maynard and Riley are looking for in a home:

- They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair.
- They’re new to indoor life with humans, so they need a kind and patient guide to help them continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make them nervous.
- They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age.
- They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time.
- They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment.
- They need to live indoors only.
- They have no known history with dogs.
- They have no known history with children.

All Alley Cat Project’s cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Consistent with Association of Shelter Veterinarians (ASV) guidelines, ACP follows current shelter medicine practices and does not routinely test every healthy, low-risk cat for FIV and FeLV.

Alley Cat Project adoption fees are:

- $200 per cat or kitten
- $350 for pair of cats or kittens
- $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old)
- Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care
- Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts

Thank you for your interest in Ms Maynard and Riley! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt them by filling out this questionnaire: https://alleycatproject.org/adopt

Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire and we will not respond. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match. Local Seattle applicants only, please.

Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
