Rain’s story is one of those moments that reminds us why rescue work matters. We found him on the night of the nor’easter, drenched, cold, and meowing his heart out, trying to get inside someone’s home to escape the storm. The second he was let in, he curled up in a blanket and slept until we arrived. He finally felt safe, and he didn’t want to let go of that feeling.
Rain is a polydactyl sweetheart with the softest personality. He wasn’t neutered or microchipped when we rescued him, but he’s all taken care of now and bounced back quickly. He even made it to his first adoption event and completely stole the show. Everyone loved him, his gentle nature, his calm energy, his sweet little face.
He’s great with dogs and cats, playful but mellow, loves his food, and is happiest lounging right next to you. Rain knows he’s safe now, and all he wants is a person to love and trust.
