**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**
Meet Fanny! This adorable, uniquely coloured, tabby kitten was rescued from an extreme hoarding situation. For more information about the rescue, please visit AVA’s Facebook page. Despite her difficult start, 6 month old Fanny has blossomed in foster and is ready to find her forever home.
Fanny’s veterinary records may call her “brown”, but this gorgeous kitten has shades of orange, black, grey, caramel and cream woven through her tabby coat! Look closely and you’ll spot an especially cute detail: two of her right, rear toes match the very tip of her tail. Her little nose and lips are pink and black—completely irresistible!
Fanny has quickly learned that food is plentiful in her foster home. She likes both wet and dry food and chirps excitedly as it is being prepared. Fanny has excellent litter box manners and she is learning to scratch on both flat cardboard surfaces and the vertical surfaces of cat towers.
Fanny enjoys playing with small toys, like balls, springs, pompoms and mice, but she gets the most pleasure out of playing with interactive toys with her humans. While wand toys seemed a bit suspicious at first, now they bring out her inner hunter. She squeaks and chitters with delight as she hunts her new favourite toys.
Fanny also calls out to her foster kitty siblings and does her best to invite them to play. Since they are older and not as toy-focused as her, Fanny would thrive in a home with another kitten or a playful, young cat who can be her companion and help show her the joys of pampered, indoor life!
Would you like to make Fanny a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form
Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.
Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it's twice the fun for you, and half the work!
