Ollie - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Pickering, Ontario

Ollie, with his signature bangs and adorable nose shadow, is an affectionate, playful, talkative, and energetic cat who loves being close to his people. He is also friendly with other cats.

He has come a long way from a difficult beginning in a hoarding situation with around 65 cats, which may be why he now treasures human attention so much. He will follow you around the house, come when called, curl up on your chest, and happily play with you—especially with fishing-wand toys. He is also very expressive: when he is happy, he looks like a little kitten, and when he is annoyed, he somehow transforms into a grumpy old man!

He loves head rubs and, with time, he allows you to give full-body petting. When excited, he may occasionally give gentle “love bites," but he responds well to calm reminders and has already improved a lot. Families with very young children should simply supervise interactions and continue reinforcing gentle boundaries - Ollie learns very fast.

Ollie is litter-box trained and, with a gentle approach, does well with nail trimming and tooth brushing. He is generally easy to care for and just needs some space to run, play, and enjoy daily interaction with his people.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
