Miso - Siamese and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Pickering, Ontario

Miso was rescued from a house in Oshawa with 65 cats. When he came into foster he was very skinny, scared and his fur was thin and coarse. With some time, love and lots of food he has blossomed. He has put on some weight and his fur is now thick and soft.

Miso is a beautiful 6 year old Siamese mix with gorgeous blue eyes that just melt your heart when he looks at you. He is shy at first but once he gets to know you he is very sweet and affectionate. He enjoys playtime, he really likes to bat springs around on the floor but is just as happy to curl up beside you for pets and snuggles. Once he is comfortable around you he can very easily be picked up and cuddled.

Miso was joined in foster by Mochi who was a housemate of his. He gets along okay with her and could be adopted with her but would be equally fine with being the only cat or with an older, laid back submissive cat like him. Because of his previous living conditions and his shy nature it would be better for him to have a calm household with no young children.

The best way to win Miso's heart is with food or treats. He loves his food and prefers anything shredded or chunky with gravy. He thoroughly enjoys treats but is still learning how to take them from your hands. As he is learning this he may accidentally nip your fingers mistaking them for the treats lol. With time and trust he will get better at this. He is very good with having his nails trimmed and has very good litter box habits.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
