Hin is the Thai (formerly Siamese) word for Stone and it seems particularly appropriate for this cat for several reasons. He is Stone Cold Handsome, he is a Stone Siamese cat, and he came from a home on Stone street.
Hin comes from a hoarding situation and as a result he is still a little shy around people. He has greatly improved while in foster care and I'm sure that he will improve even more when he has a home of his own. He allows himself to be petted and sometimes even leans into the pets but he doesn't like to be picked up and is not yet a lap cat, but that may come with time. Unusually for a Siamese, Hin is a quiet boy.
When he first arrived, he hid from me and hissed at me, but those days are long gone. He is now always out in the room when I come in and he often approaches me curiously while still keeping a little distance.
He is quite friendly with the other cats in his room, often brushing himself against them, something they all seem to appreciate.
He is very playful, especially enjoying one of the long streamer on a wand toys but he'll happily play with almost any interactive toy. He thinks it is beneath his dignity to chase balls or springs though.
Hin has excellent litter habits and a good appetite. Hin will make a wonderful companion for some lucky person.
