Pothos is a handsome gentleman with soft blond-ginger fur and an even softer heart. At 12 years old, he recently came into our care after the heartbreaking loss of his owner. He arrived with another cat from the home, though the two are not bonded. After spending years in a calm, loving home, the sudden change to a busy, noisy shelter has been a big adjustment for Pothos. He is feeling a little lost, and right now, you will find him tucked away under a couch, quietly taking everything in. But once you spend a few quiet moments with him, Pothos completely steals your heart. He will roll onto his side, chirp softly when you talk to him, and happily accept gentle pets.

Pothos is calm, affectionate, and wonderfully easygoing, the kind of cat who brings a peaceful comfort just by being near you. Having spent his life in a quiet home with one devoted owner, he would love to find a similar relaxed setting. An adult-only home would suit him purrfectly, though with his mellow and loving nature, he could also do well with gentle, respectful children. Pothos has lived with another cat before and is comfortable around his shelter pals, so he would likely enjoy a home with another friendly feline friend who shares a similar temperament. Aside from needing some dental care and a weight-loss plan to help him shed a bit of extra chonk, Pothos is a healthy boy with excellent litter box manners.

Pothos is a sweet, gentle giant, and it is impossible not to fall for him once you spend time with him.
