If you believe the deepest bonds are built over time and have a soft spot for shy little black panthers, Opa would love to meet you. At 2 years old, Opa came into our care alongside six other cats after they were sadly abandoned in their home. Thanks to a kind landlord who reached out for help, they were all given a chance at a fresh start.
Opa is a shy but very sweet boy with a calm, gentle nature. He may not be the first to say hello, often choosing to watch from a safe distance, but he is gaining confidence every day. While Opa’s not quite ready for hands-on affection yet, he no longer runs away when people approach and is happy to share his space with you. Opa finds comfort in the company of other cats and will need a feline friend in his new home. A relaxed, low-traffic household would suit him best. Ideally, an adult-only home would be purrfect for him, but he could do well with older, gentle children who understand and respect his need for space. Opa is neutered, healthy, and has excellent litter box manners.
In a room full of more outgoing cats, Opa can be easy to overlook—but he is a sweet, loving boy just waiting for the right person to discover him. Opa may not demand your attention, but he is quietly hoping for your love! To learn more about Opa or to arrange a visit to the shelter, please reach out or fill out an application. You are also welcome to visit us during our Open House, held every Saturday and Sunday from 12 -2 pm.
