Duncan is a handsome senior gentleman who has spent his life knowing the comfort of a loving home. Sadly, everything changed when his elderly owner had to enter hospice. She was heartbroken to give him up, but without family who could care for Duncan, she had no choice but to surrender him to a Southwest Virginia shelter.
Suddenly, Duncan's days of sleeping peacefully in her lap and stretching out in warm patches of sunshine disappeared.
Now this sweet boy is looking for someone to give him those simple comforts again.
Duncan is a wonderfully low-maintenance, easygoing cat. He's outgoing without being demanding, calm without being boring, and happiest when life is peaceful and predictable. He loves being held, sitting in your lap, lounging in the sunshine, and discovering cozy places where he can curl up for a good nap.
And Duncan is definitely a foodie! Put down his meal and you'll quickly have his undivided attention. He has a healthy appreciation for good food and is always happy to see what's on the menu.
Duncan is also good with other cats, making him an easygoing companion in a feline-friendly home.
What he wants most now is simple: a comfortable bed, a sunny window, a warm lap, regular meals, and someone who will love him for the rest of his life.
Duncan isn't looking for adventure. He's looking for home.
For a senior cat, there is something incredibly special about giving them the peaceful retirement they deserve. Duncan has already lost the person who loved him most. Now he needs someone who will open their heart and give him the security and affection he's been missing.
Duncan is a real find—a sweet, loving, low-maintenance gentleman who would be so grateful to spend his golden years by your side.
