Meet Fisher – A 20-Pound Bundle of Love!
Meet Fisher, a fabulous Russian Blue mix Polydactyl(6 front toes) with a big personality—and, well, a very big body to match! At 20 pounds, this handsome boy is definitely a substantial cat, but his heart is even bigger.
Fisher came to us from a Southwest Virginia shelter after his elderly owner passed away. Sadly, the family did not want to take him, leaving Fisher suddenly without the person and home he knew.
But Fisher hasn't let that heartbreak change his wonderful personality. He is outgoing, affectionate, snuggly, and full of life. He absolutely loves people and is happiest when he's getting attention, affection, and plenty of cuddles. He's the kind of cat who makes himself right at home and quickly becomes part of the family.
Fisher is also wonderfully social. He's good with other cats and even does well with dogs, making him an easygoing companion for a variety of households.
We're helping Fisher work toward a healthier weight, since at 20 pounds he has a few pounds he'd like to shed. The biggest challenge? Fisher really, really likes dry food! He's going to need a family willing to help him stick to a healthy eating plan—and preferably someone who doesn't fall for his adorable attempts to convince them that he is absolutely starving!
Underneath that extra fluff is a sweet, lively boy who has so much love to give. Fisher is ready for a family who will appreciate his big personality, his cuddly nature, and his enormous heart.
If you're looking for a loving, social, larger-than-life companion, Fisher is ready to fill your home—and your lap—with love!

You can save animals like this one by becoming a foster! Fosters are like bridges between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats and dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please visit: https://fancycats.org/volunteer
