Raya - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Greensburg, Pennsylvania

Beautiful Raya has been through more than any cat should have to endure, but this sweet girl is ready to leave her difficult past behind and discover just how wonderful life can be.

Raya is a gorgeous blue and white girl, around 5–6 years old, who came to us from a hoarding situation. Sadly, when she arrived, one of her eyes was severely infected and there was no way to save it. Her eye had to be removed, but Raya hasn’t let that slow her down one bit! She gets around wonderfully and is still every bit the playful, curious girl she was meant to be.

And if you really want to win Raya's heart, there’s one very important secret: FOOD! This girl is extremely food motivated, and delicious treats are definitely the way to her heart. With a tasty snack in hand, you may quickly find yourself making a new best friend!

Raya is friendly, but she is also a lady who likes to do things on her terms. After everything she has experienced, she is still learning that people can be trusted and that she is finally safe. She needs an adopter who will respect her boundaries, give her time to settle in, and allow their relationship to develop at her own pace.

For that reason, Raya would do best in a quiet home without small children. Her dream home would also be one where she can be the one and only pet — the undisputed queen of the castle! She would love having all the attention, cozy spots, and treats to herself. If there are other pets in the home, Raya will need a slow, patient, carefully managed introduction and plenty of time to adjust.

Raya has already overcome so much. She lost an eye, survived a hoarding situation, and has had to learn that the world isn't always a scary place. Now she deserves someone who will look past her imperfections, understand her history, and see the beautiful, deserving cat underneath it all.

We know Raya may not be the easiest cat in the room, but sometimes the ones who need a little more patience are the ones whose trust means the most.
