This is Waffle, one of the sweet little members of our “Breakfast Crew” who was found living in a barn. And honestly, we think he may have been given the wrong name... because Waffle should have been Grogu! Those adorable sideways ears are giving us some serious Star Wars vibes — fans will understand!

But behind those precious ears is a shy and timid little boy who is still learning that people can be trusted and that life can be filled with love, comfort, and kindness.

Waffle needs someone who is willing to go at his pace. He may be nervous at first, but with patience, gentle pets, and plenty of love, he slowly begins to come out of his shell. One of the things that makes him feel safest is being held close and securely. Once he realizes he’s safe, you’ll start to see more of his sweet personality emerge.

When Waffle is feeling comfortable, he loves to play and explore. His cat tower is one of his favorite places — whether he’s climbing, playing, hiding away for a little quiet time, or curling up for a cozy nap.

Waffle is also a kitten who really needs another friendly kitten or young cat in his forever home. Having a feline friend will help him feel more confident, give him someone to learn from, and provide the companionship he needs to continue blossoming into the happy, playful kitty we know he can be.

Waffle isn't going to be the kitten who runs up and immediately demands to be the center of attention. His love is something you have to earn — but it will be so worth it.

He needs a patient, understanding adopter who will give him the time and security he needs to thrive. Please don't overlook him simply because he's shy. Give Waffle a chance. Give him time. Give him love.
