Meet Valeria and Blaze!

Valeria is a 6-year-old Chihuahua with a heart full of love and a future full of promise — and she’s bringing along her best friend, Blaze, a 5-year-old neutered male Chihuahua who depends on her for confidence and comfort. These two are deeply bonded and must be adopted together.

Valeria is fantastic with other animals and would adore a calm, nurturing home where she and Blaze can finally enjoy the good life they deserve. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, she warms up quickly and rewards her favorite people with the sweetest tiny kisses. She's extremely food motivated, making earning her trust (and teaching her new skills!) even easier.

Blaze is a gentle soul weighing about 9 pounds. He’s much more timid and unsure, but he has never shown an ounce of aggression — just quiet patience and a lot of heart. Blaze relies heavily on Valeria for confidence, and watching them together is truly heart-melting. Like Valeria, he’s still learning about leash walking and is not yet housetrained. Both come from a hoarding situation where they lived a very sheltered life, so they will need patient adopters willing to help them learn how to just be dogs.

Valeria has been spayed and had some necessary dental work, and both she and Blaze are on the path to a bright new beginning. Due to their gentle, timid nature, they would do best in a quieter home with older, respectful children who will allow them the time and space to feel secure and loved. Prior Chihuahua experience is a plus!
