El Dorado - Domestic Short Hair and Tuxedo Cat for Adoption in Greensboro, North Carolina

El Dorado (El for short), born approximately 4/30/2026, is a bright eyed tuxedo gentleman with a perfectly pink nose, the sweetest expression, honey colored eyes, and a heart that is just waiting to be unlocked.

El has all the ingredients of becoming an incredibly affectionate, snuggly companion. He is still learning that humans can be trusted, though, so he needs someone willing to let him set the pace while patiently showing him that he is safe and loved. Every little step forward is a glimpse of the sweet boy hiding beneath his cautious exterior.

An outgoing, confident kitty friend would be especially important for El. Having a feline role model to show him that humans are friends, playtime is fun, and home is a safe place will help him continue building the confidence he needs to truly blossom.

El Dorado is looking for an experienced adopter who understands that the most beautiful transformations don’t happen overnight. Give this handsome boy patience, encouragement, a confident kitty companion, and a whole lot of love, and you may just discover the snuggle bug he was always meant to be.

Adopting from Sheets Pet Adoption is simple! Request an application, answer a few follow-up questions, then when your application is approved, we set up a meet-greet. The application helps us guide you to your best match. If we do not have your best match, we can refer you to other great rescue groups.

Our adoption fee is $100 for each cat 6 months and older, $150 if you adopt two 6+ month-old cats at the same time. $125 for each kitten, $200 for two kittens adopted at the same time. That fee includes spay or neuter, microchipping (we register the chip for you), testing for FeLV (Feline Leukemia) and/or FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), current, age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment and deworming. All adoptees receive an exit exam from one of our veterinarians before going home.

NO RISK! Adoption fee is refundable for two weeks to make sure you've found a match for your household. Even after two-week period, we'll take the adopted cat back for any reason.

Come to our adoption fairs, held every second and fourth Saturday at Sheets Pet Clinic (809 Chimney Rock Court, Greensboro, NC, 27409) from 1-3pm, unless the Saturday falls on an observed holiday. At the clinic on those days, you can visit sometimes 40 kittens/cats at one time, interact with them in a quiet environment, spend as much time as you like with them in exam rooms.
