Meet Sofia!

If you're looking for a kitten with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Sofia is ready to meet you.

Sofia is one of the Bad Bunny litter kittens, a beautiful tabby who believes attention should be directed toward her at all timesand honestly, she's pretty convincing. She's outgoing, affectionate, and always ready to make a new friend.

Her story began before she was even born. A kind woman noticed a pregnant stray cat visiting her home and began leaving food out for her. One day, mama disappeared, only to return several weeks later with her kittens in tow. Believing she had found a safe place for them, mama tucked her babies into the wheel well of the woman's car. Thankfully, their tiny cries were heard before anyone drove away. The family quickly brought mama and kittens inside and reached out to RARE for help.

Sofia has never met a toy she didn't want to chase or a person she didn't want to charm. She's playful, adventurous, and incredibly curious. If there's a new box to inspect, a cabinet left open, or an interesting sound coming from another room, Sofia will be the first to investigate. She approaches life with enthusiasm and a sense of wonder that makes every day entertaining.

And when playtime is over? Sofia is more than happy to soak up all the love and attention you're willing to give. She's the type of kitten who wants to be involved in everything you're doing, whether that's helping with chores, supervising from the couch, or curling up beside you for snuggles.

Sofia and her siblings are also expert litter box users, making the transition into their forever homes even easier.

BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
