From her foster mom, Darlene:
If love could be bottled up and turned into a kitten, her name would be Sugar.
This little girl is the definition of a Velcro kitty. When she's not busy zooming around and playing with all the enthusiasm a kitten can muster, she's looking for her next cuddle opportunity. Sugar doesn't just enjoy affection. She actively seeks it out and makes sure you know when she's ready for more.
One of the sweetest things she does is gently reach out and touch my face with her soft little paw while looking directly into my eyes. She has a fascination with being close to my face and seems happiest when she's right in the middle of whatever I'm doing. If she feels she's gone too long without attention, she'll let out her adorable scratchy little meow as a reminder that she could really use some love right now.
Sugar has a huge personality packed into a tiny body. She approaches life with confidence, curiosity, and absolutely no fear. When she met my other foster kittens, she acted like she'd known them forever. New friends, new places, and new adventures are simply opportunities waiting to happen.
She's also uniquely beautiful. While she's primarily a brown tabby, she has touches of calico coloring that make her extra special. One of her paws is classic brown tabby, while another shows creamy calico markings. It's just one more thing that makes Sugar completely one of a kind.
Sugar would love a home where she has plenty of companionship. Because she is so social and people-oriented, I highly recommend a playmate, whether that's another friendly cat or a dog, to help keep her company when her humans are busy.
Her story began when a caring couple in Crowley watched over a mother cat and her kittens living near their home. They fed them, protected them, and worried as some of the kittens disappeared or became injured. Determined to help, they rescued Sugar, the last surviving kitten, and brought her to our rescue when she was just six weeks old. They had grown so attached to her sweet personality that they were actually crying in my driveway when they handed her over.
Honestly, I understand why.
Sugar has a rare gift for making people feel loved. She is affectionate, playful, confident, and endlessly devoted to her humans. If you're looking for a kitten who will become your constant companion, your lap warmer, and your daily reminder that you're adored, Sugar may be the perfect match.

At Meowtown, we don't have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They're not waiting to become housecats... they already are. They just need a house.
This kitten has not been spayed yet, but is available as Foster2Adopt. You adopt and take the kitten home with you, and we pay for and arrange for spay later.
If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!
