If you're looking for a kitten who believes there is no such thing as too much affection, meet Cricket.

This sweet girl has one mission in life: to be as close to her people as possible. When I walk into the room, she immediately wants to be picked up and cuddled. The moment I sit down, Cricket often launches herself across my shoulders and settles around my neck, purring like a tiny motorboat. If there's a prime cuddle spot available, Cricket intends to claim it.

She is one of the most affectionate kittens I've fostered. Cricket loves attention, loves being held, loves lap time, and loves being involved in whatever her people are doing. If another cat happens to be getting attention, don't be surprised if Cricket politely but confidently inserts herself into the situation. In her mind, affection is meant to be shared... preferably with her.

She's also incredibly soft and has some adorable little habits that make her impossible not to love. One of my favorites is watching her make biscuits, even while standing up. Somehow she manages to knead the air while remaining upright, and it's every bit as cute as it sounds.

Cricket isn't just a cuddle bug, though. She's playful, social, and loves making new friends. When I recently introduced a new foster kitten, Cricket immediately welcomed it with an invitation to play. She seems to believe every cat she meets is a potential friend.

She was found alongside her sister, Ladybug, without their mother and was brought into rescue by a kindhearted Good Samaritan. Since then, the two girls have grown up together and remain very close. While Cricket would be happy with any friendly feline companion, she would especially love a home with another playful cat. Ladybug is also available for adoption if you're considering bringing home a ready-made friendship.

Cricket gets along wonderfully with other cats, loves people, and would fit beautifully into almost any family willing to give her the affection she craves.

At Meowtown, we don't have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes.
