Star is the kind of cat who doesn't just become part of your family, she becomes part of absolutely everything you do.

This sweet, affectionate girl loves people and wants to be involved in every aspect of your day. Whether you're doing chores, relaxing on the couch, making the bed, or folding laundry, Star is right there beside you making sure you're not lonely.

One of my favorite things about her is the way she greets me. She'll come trotting over, talking the whole way, then dramatically flop onto my feet and rub all over them as if she's been waiting all day to see me. She's incredibly expressive and always has something to say.

Star is wonderfully playful and full of personality. She loves rolling around, acting silly, and entertaining the people she loves. She's also a cat with absolutely no concept of personal boundaries. If there's a clean pile of laundry, she'll be in it. If there's a bed, she'll be on it. If there's a countertop, she'll probably investigate that too. She simply believes everything belongs to her, and honestly, it's hard to argue with her.

Her story began at the Star-Telegram building in Arlington, where she was found caring for six kittens. She proved to be an incredible mother, raising her babies with patience and devotion. Now that her kittens are grown, it's finally Star's turn to find a family of her own.

While she warms up to people quickly, the reward for earning her trust is enormous. Once Star decides you're her person, she becomes a loyal, devoted companion who wants to be by your side as much as possible.

Star gets along with other non-dominant cats but would also be perfectly happy as an only cat. Dogs, however, are a definite no thank you from Star. She has made her feelings on that subject very clear.

She does well with children and would thrive in a home that appreciates a cat with a huge personality, a big heart, and just enough mischief to keep life interesting.
