From her foster mom, Michele:
Pearlie is a beautiful girl who is finally getting the chance to enjoy a life that's all about her.
For years, Pearlie lived at an apartment complex where she raised multiple litters of kittens while relying on the kindness of a couple who regularly fed and cared for her. Despite the challenges of outdoor life, she remained gentle and trusting enough to form relationships with the people who looked after her. Now that her mama days are behind her, Pearlie is discovering how wonderful indoor life can be.
One of my favorite things about Pearlie is watching her enjoy the comforts she never had before. She has claimed a spot in our home office, where she spends her days relaxing, observing, and quietly becoming more comfortable with the world around her.
Pearlie has also discovered the joys of cat trees, feather toys, regular meals, and, most importantly, Churu treats. When a Churu appears, the rest of the world simply ceases to exist. Her complete devotion to snack time is honestly impressive.
While Pearlie is independent and doesn't need to be the center of attention, she enjoys companionship and likes being near her people. When she's feeling affectionate, she'll rub against your legs and ask for attention in her own sweet way. Watching her confidence grow has been incredibly rewarding.
Pearlie would love a patient adopter who understands that trust is something special. She doesn't need constant entertainment or attention. She's simply looking for a safe, loving home where she can continue settling into the comfortable life she has earned.
Because she spent much of her life outdoors and had negative experiences with dogs, a dog-free home would be best. A quieter household with adults or older children would likely suit her personality well.
Pearlie has already done the hard work of surviving and raising her family. Now it's her turn to be the one who is cared for, spoiled, and loved. For someone looking for a quiet companion with a remarkable story, Pearlie is truly a special cat.

At Meowtown, we don't have a traditional, physical shelter - all of our cats live in loving foster homes. That means they are already used to real home life, and we truly know their personalities, habits, and what makes them special. They are safe, socialized, and ready to be part of a family. They're not waiting to become housecats... they already are. They just need a house.
