Eli is a handsome, young boy with sleek grey fur and adorable white patches, but his personality is even brighter than his looks. Found in Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ, Eli made it crystal clear to a community cat volunteer that the outdoor life was not for him. In fact, this smart and determined boy refused to let her leave without him, trotting right alongside her all the way to her car!

This sweet boy is a total social butterfly who's never met a stranger. If you're looking for a lap warm-up partner, Eli is more than happy to claim your lap as his personal throne. He's friendly, outgoing, super easy going and absolutely amazing with young children!

When he initially arrived, he was very wary of other cats and dogs. With time and patience, however, he is getting more comfortable with the idea of other furry roommates. If you have another pet at home, we'd be happy to talk with you about compatibility and proper pet introductions!

Practically perfect in every way, Eli is beyond ready to trade park life for cozy blankets, gentle head scratches, and a family to call his own. If you're ready to give this loving, outgoing boy all the comforts and affection he deserves, Eli is ready to walk right into your heart!

Eli's birthday is estimated to be around September, 2025. He has tested negative for FIV/FELV and is fully vaccinated.

Eli is being fostered in Bloomfield, NJ. Transportation can be arranged for out of state adoptions.
