Meet Bernard

Bernard is a gorgeous ginger boy, about 34 years old, with a big personality and a lot to say! Hes incredibly outgoing with people and loves to greet everyone he meets — honestly, a little like a puppy. Hes social, curious, affectionate, and definitely not a shy guy.

Bernard showed up behind a house in Newark, likely a dumped house cat. He had clearly been through a lot and was found with a wound on his cheek, but despite everything, he still absolutely loves people. Hes easy to pick up, enjoys sitting on your lap for some love, and mostly just wants to be wherever the action is. He has places to be, people to greet, and things to do!

Bernard does have a little sass to him and would be happiest as the only cat in the home, where he can have his people all to himself. We think adults or a family with older, cat-savvy kids would be the best fit for him.

Bernard is FIV+ and currently needs some dental work, which hell be getting done before adoption. Hes a great eater and an all-around funny, social boy with so much personality.

After everything Bernard has been through, wed love to see him land in a home where he can finally settle in and be someones one and only. If you want a cat who will greet you at the door, keep you company, chat with you, and make himself a real part of the family, Bernard might be your guy.
