Meet Helios!

Helios is a stunning black kitty with the heart of an athlete, an adventurous spirit, and a personality that is truly one of a kind! This incredibly special boy is full of energy, curiosity, and love. Despite the challenges he's faced, Helios approaches life with endless enthusiasm and a playful spirit that is impossible not to fall in love with.

Helios is a little superstar athlete who absolutely LOVES to play! Whether he's chasing balls, showing off his impressive wrestling skills, climbing to new heights, or exploring his surroundings, he's always ready for his next adventure. He's especially obsessed with balls and wand toys. And when he's finally ready for a break, he loves nothing more than snuggling up with a feline friend.

Helios must go to a home with another friendly, playful kitten or cat. He absolutely adores other cats and will instantly try to befriend any welcoming feline he meets. He loves wrestling, chasing, playing, and cuddling with his kitty companions. While Helios may need a few days to warm up to a new person, he wastes no time making friends with other cats. Once he feels comfortable, his sweet, gentle, and loving personality truly shines.

Helios is also a bit of a picky eater! He has very particular tastes and will only eat freeze-dried food. He also has a soft spot for Churu treats, which are a wonderful way to win his heart!

What makes Helios especially remarkable is his resilience and beautiful spirit. At a very young age, Helios was exposed to an upper respiratory infection (URI), which caused his third eyelid to fuse to his cornea. As a result, he is completely blind in one eye and has partial vision in the other. He underwent surgery in hopes of improving his vision, but unfortunately, the procedure was unsuccessful.

However, Helios has never let his limited vision define him or hold him back! This extraordinary boy continues to run, jump, chase, wrestle, climb, and explore with incredible confidence and joy. Watching him navigate the world with such determination and enthusiasm is truly heartwarming.

Helios also has feline asthma, but fortunately, he does not currently require daily medication. His future family should be aware of his condition and be prepared to monitor his respiratory health as needed.

Above all, Helios is one of the most special cats you could ever meet. His gentle, affectionate nature, playful personality, and unwavering love for life make him an unforgettable little soul. He deserves a patient, understanding family who will embrace everything that makes him unique, provide him with the care he needs, and give him a loving feline companion to share his adventures with.

Helios is currently being fostered in Texas but available to transport to approved adopter in the Midwest, Northeast and Canada.
