Meet Toby Keith!
Toby Keith is an adorable 8-year-old cuddle bug weighing in at a chunky 15 poundsand dont let his age fool you! This boy has plenty of energy and loves to run, play, and show off his impressive jumping skills. Once he gets going, you would never guess hes 8!
Toby is a super-velcro dog who absolutely loves his person. He is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happiest when he can be right by your side. He enjoys being active and will need regular exercise to help him stay healthy and reach a more comfortable weight.
A securely fenced yard is a must for Toby. He loves chasing lizards and exploring, and if given the opportunity, he is more than happy to take himself on an adventure! His new family will need to be diligent about keeping doors and gates securely closed.
Toby also enjoys going for walks, but he does best in a quiet neighborhood with minimal distractions and few, if any, other dogs around. A calm environment where he can enjoy his walks without becoming overwhelmed will be ideal.
Toby does have some behaviors that make his placement especially important. He can be protective of his food, toys, and favorite person, so he needs an experienced adopter who understands resource guarding and is comfortable providing consistent boundaries, structure, and positive guidance. Because of this, Toby must be the only dog in the home and cannot be placed with children.
Toby is a special little guy who has so much love to give. For the right person, he will be a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to be your best buddy and stay close by your side.
