Meet Gino!

Gino is officially our doll of the year. This handsome, solid 11-pound boy is about as sweet and easygoing as they come.

Gino was clearly someone’s pet before he found himself outside, living in a parking lot on N. 7th Street in Newark. We brought him to safety on July 26, 2026, and it didn’t take long to realize what an absolute gem he is.

Gino has the dream temperament — incredibly chill, affectionate, and just genuinely lovely to be around. He’s a relaxed, easygoing guy who is happy to soak up attention and be close to his people. At 11 pounds, he’s the perfect size: sturdy, handsome, healthy, and clearly accustomed to life as a house cat.
His estimated DOB is February 5, 2024, making him a young adult with plenty of years of love ahead of him.

We haven’t formally introduced Gino face-to-face with other cats yet, so we don’t want to make promises about how he’ll do in a multi-cat home. That said, he has shown no hissing or reactivity when other cats are nearby, which is encouraging. We’ll update his profile as we learn more.

Gino is fully vetted and ready for his forever home. After losing the home he once knew and ending up in a parking lot, this sweet boy deserves a family who will make sure he never has to wonder where he belongs again.
