At 11 years young, this little Yorkshire Terrier has already been through more than most—but his story is one of quiet resilience and second chances.
Chuckie came to Prairie Paws Rescue after being found in a giveaway advertisement, in need of care and compassion. When he first arrived, he was scared and unsure of the world around him. With limited eyesight and painful dental issues, it took his foster mom a few days just to gain his trust. But once he realized he was safe, his gentle spirit began to shine through.
He was shaved down to free him from uncomfortable matting and had a full dental—now left with just two teeth, this sweet boy enjoys a soft diet that keeps him happy and comfortable.
While Chuckie may be partially blind, don’t let that fool you—his sense of smell and hearing are top-notch! He knows exactly when it’s mealtime, can sniff out a snack from anywhere, and never misses the sound of a delivery truck pulling up.
Chuckie is looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years. A soft bed, a patient heart, and someone who understands that love and security mean everything to a senior pup—that’s all this little guy is asking for.
