Dax is a 5-year-old terrier mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Originally adopted from Prairie Paws Rescue in 2022, Dax has found his way back to us due to a change in his person’s lifestyle. Now he’s ready for his next chapter—and a forever family to call his own.
Dax is currently thriving in a foster home alongside other small dogs and children, and he enjoys being part of the action. He would do best in a home that can keep up with his active nature and give him the attention and structure he craves.
This handsome guy isn’t a fan of the crate and will let you know it with his bark, so apartment living may not be the best fit for him. Dax would love a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs—but he’ll need a watchful eye to make sure he takes care of business before heading back inside, as he could use a little refresher on house training.
One thing that will win Dax over quickly? Treats! He’s very food-motivated, which will make training both fun and rewarding.
