Rogan - Yorkshire Terrier and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

Rogan is an 8-year-old, 11-pound Yorkie who found his way to Camo Rescue after being saved from the euthanasia list at a local shelter. Understandably fearful when he first arrived, Rogan is slowly learning that he is safe and surrounded by people who want
nothing more than to see him happy. With soft pets, cozy blankets, yummy food, and plenty of patience, this little senior is beginning to trust-and we know there is so much more of his sweet personality waiting to shine.

At 8 years old, Rogan is perfectly happy taking life at a slower pace. He moves slowly and isn't looking for a home filled with constant activity or adventures. What he really wants is a calm, cozy place to lay his head, a soft spot on the couch, and someone who will appreciate the simple joys of senior life.

Because of his tiny size and slower pace, Rogan would do best in an adults-only home with someone who understands that he's probably not going to be running around town or keeping up with a busy schedule. He'd much rather curl up beside you, watch TV, enjoy some yummy food, and soak up the comfort of finally knowing he is safe.

Rogan has already been given a second chance. Now he's hoping for someone willing to give him the time and patience he needs to truly blossom into the happy, loved little Yorkie he deserves to be.

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.

The Yorkshire Terrier, also known as Yorkie, is a small and glamorous toy dog breed known for its long, flowing coat and spirited personality. Originating from England, these affectionate and intelligent dogs make wonderful companions for individuals and families alike. With a weight of around 7 pounds, Yorkies are portable and adaptable, thriving in both city apartments and rural settings. Despite their small size, they possess a bold and confident nature, always ready for fun and adventure.
