Lyric Willow - Yorkshire Terrier and Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Houston, Texas

Meet Lyric Willow!

Lyric Willow is a 4-year-old Terrier/Yorkie mix with a sweet heart who just needs a little extra time to feel safe in this big world. She can be very nervous around new people and may bite out of fear when she feels overwhelmed, so patience, understanding, and respecting her boundaries are incredibly important.
But underneath that fear is a sweet girl who wants the chance to feel comfortable and learn to trust. When you meet Lyric where she is, move slowly, and allow her to approach you on her own terms, she may gradually lean in for pets and begin to let her guard down. As trust grows, so can her bond with you, and she can become very attached to her person.
Lyric Willow will need a calm, patient adopter who understands fearful dogs and is willing to let her blossom at her own pace. She isn't a girl who will necessarily greet new people with open paws, but with time and kindness, she can begin to discover that the world isn't such a scary place after all.
Lyric is looking for someone who will see beyond her fear and give her the chance she deserves. She needs a person who understands that trust takes time, respects her comfort level, and will help her feel safe without forcing interactions.
Sometimes, the most special bonds aren't built overnight. They're built through patience, gentle moments, and the willingness to let a scared little heart learn to trust again. Could you be the person Lyric Willow has been waiting for?
