Meet Casper Poe

Casper Poe is a 3.5-year-old Shih Tzu mix who came to CAMO as a stray, emaciated and terrified. At just 11 pounds, he is still underweight and has healing left to do. But despite everything he has been through, Casper is already showing us his sweet, affectionate, and loving side. He loves being loved on, and watching him begin to let his guard down reminds us just how special he is.
The world is still a scary place for Casper. He is very timid around new people and unfamiliar things. When frightened, he may do an "alligator roll" or try to bolt and escape. He is afraid of the leash and is not yet comfortable walking on one. He is also still working on potty training.
Casper needs someone with a gentle heart who understands that healing takes time and trust cannot be rushed. He needs patience, compassion, and a secure, escape-proof home where he can finally feel safe.
Casper is heartworm negative, neutered, and up to date on his vaccinations and preventatives.
Casper isn't asking for a perfect home-just someone willing to give him a chance. Someone who will celebrate the little victories, stand by him on the hard days, and show him that he is safe and loved. He is already letting us see the loving boy hiding behind his fears. Now, he just needs someone to help him believe that the world can be kind.

Adoption fee is: $250.00

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.

Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.

Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.
