Hi... I'm Lupita.

I'm a 3-year-old wire-haired terrier mix with soft black fur, floppy ears that seem to have a mind of their own, and a little white patch on my chest that makes me easy to spot. I weigh about 25 pounds, so I'm just the right size for adventures during the day and cuddles on the couch at night.

I'm already **spayed, up to date on my vaccines and microchipped**.

I will travel from South California to Ridgefield, WA by the end of September to live with my foster family. I also can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential family for me.

Here is my story:

Life hasn't always been easy, but I've never stopped believing that somewhere out there is a family who will love me forever and ever.

When I was found, I was all alone after losing the only friend I had. No one ever came looking for me, but kind people gave me a second chance, and now I'm hoping my next chapter will be my forever one.

I'm a gentle, quiet girl. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but if you give me a little patience, you'll see my sweet personality shine. I don't need to be the center of attention. I'm happiest simply being close to my people, enjoying gentle pets and knowing I'm safe.

I love spending time outside, whether I'm soaking up the sunshine, exploring the yard with my nose, or just relaxing and watching the world go by. I'm not a high-energy dog. I'd much rather enjoy peaceful walks, quiet afternoons, and cozy evenings with the people I love.

One of my favorite things is having other dogs around. I get along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, and their company helps me feel even more confident. I'd be happy with a canine friend, but I'd also do just fine as your one and only if you have lots of love to share.

I prefer sleeping outside of a crate because it helps me feel relaxed and secure. Don't worry though—I'm not destructive. I simply love curling up in a cozy bed where I can settle in for the night.

More than anything, I'm looking for a family who understands that trust takes a little time. Once I know I'm safe, I'll reward you with quiet companionship, gentle affection, and a loyal heart that's been waiting a long time to belong.

I've already found my way to safety.

Now I'm hoping to find my way home.
