Toby is one of those special dogs who has a beautiful balance of playful energy and a calm, loving personality. He enjoys having fun, but he’s just as happy being held in your arms, snuggling close, and soaking up all the affection you’re willing to give him.

And when we say Toby is affectionate, we mean SUPER affectionate! This darling boy absolutely loves being held, cuddled, and showered with love. He has so much affection to give and is simply waiting for a family to share it with.

Toby is an incredibly intelligent little gentleman with a curious mind and a sweet, endearing personality. He’s friendly, loyal, gentle, brave, and independent, with just enough silliness to keep his family smiling.

He loves his toys and enjoys a good game of fetch, although after a few minutes he’s usually ready to move on to something else. Toby isn’t an overly athletic boy, and that’s part of his charm! He enjoys his playtime but also appreciates the quieter moments in life.

Sometimes he’s a little chatterbox, and other times he’s perfectly content relaxing and enjoying the comforts of home. Toby is also very food motivated! He absolutely loves his meals and treats, which should be a wonderful advantage as he continues learning new commands and polishing his manners.

His foster family has not observed separation anxiety, storm anxiety, or behavioral concerns.

You will get to meet Toby over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! We facilitate adoptions across the U.S. with USDA-certified transport teams to safely bring our animals to their new homes, with drop-off locations in CO, VA, NY, MA, WA, IL, AZ, OR, and MI.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
