What we know: Litter of six puppies (5M, 1F) surrendered to CPR locally. A community member reached out for assistance after taking in the puppies from an individual who had been selling golden retriever puppies and stated he could no longer care for them. To prevent the puppies from entering the shelter system, placement was coordinated through one of CPR's local rescue contacts, and the puppies were transferred into CPR's care. Upon intake, the puppies were covered in flea dirt and scabs and had significant hair loss and poor coat condition consistent with neglect. 2.5 months old at time of surrender.
From the foster: Floppy ears. Puppy dog eyes. Unlimited kisses.
If you close your eyes and picture the perfect adorable puppy, you're probably picturing this little guy. With his delightfully floppy ears and soulful puppy eyes, he looks like he should be starring in commercials.
But he's more than just ridiculously cute-he's an absolute sweetheart.
This happy little guy loves toys, loves mealtime, and loves giving kisses to everyone he meets. He's playful and affectionate, equally happy romping around with friends or curling up for a nap. In fact, one of his favorite places to snooze is right on top of you-or stretched out vertically along your shins, which is every bit as adorable as it sounds.
He got along beautifully with both his smaller foster sibling and a 60-pound senior dog, and was perfectly content in his crate and play area. He slept through the night like a champ and hardly barked at all during his time in foster care.
Perhaps most impressive for such a young pup, he seemed to understand potty training almost immediately. He quickly picked up the routine and had very few accidents.
Sweet, playful, and endlessly endearing, this little guy has a way of making everyone around him smile. And while he'll undoubtedly grow bigger, we're all secretly hoping he never quite grows into those magnificent floppy ears.
Come meet this lovable little fellow. Just try not to fall in love at first sight-we certainly did.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The terrier is a spirited and intelligent dog breed known for its feisty personality and boundless energy. Terriers come in various sizes and coat types, but they all share a common heritage as fearless and determined hunters. These dogs are typically highly trainable, making them versatile companions for active individuals and families alike. With their loyalty and playful demeanor, terriers are beloved for their endless enthusiasm and affectionate nature.
