Alexa - Terrier and Australian Shepherd Dog for Adoption in New Haven, Connecticut

Alexa is a sweet and mellow girl, with a laid back temperament and personality if you’re looking for a mix of low key, but also somewhat playful once she’s comfortable. She was very shy when we pulled her from the shelter, but opened up in foster and loves her foster family! She’s great with other dogs, too! She enjoys lounging, seeks out affection in a very sweet way, enjoys sunbathing, hanging around with her foster, and treats! Alexa has a very unique look and coloring, and we are unsure of her breed mix, which has stumped us, especially given her small, full grown size. Alexa is likely anywhere from 1.5-2.5 years old and is about 20lbs. She is gentle, is good in the car and is the perfect little lap dog and companion!
Alexa was rescued by us from a high kill shelter, after being found stray. We are looking for a loving home for this girl and and one who will spoil her like she deserves. She loves to be close, snuggle, and loves her people!

She does well for her baths, nail trims, and grooming, and has been doing great on car rides to her appointments. She will need routine grooming (hair trims or brush outs) throughout the year.
