Wendy - Australian Shepherd and Rat Terrier Dog for Adoption in New Haven, Connecticut

Wendy is a sweet and friendly girl, with a great temperament and personality if you’re looking for a mix of low key, but playful. She was very shy when we pulled her from the shelter, but opened up in foster and loves her foster family! She’s great with other dogs, too! She is fairly mellow, but is also playful, and enjoys lounging, sunbathing, hanging around with her foster, and treats! She is surely one to become an adopters little shadow, but entertains herself and loves a good nap, too. Wendy is likely anywhere from 1.5-2.5 years old and is about 15-17lbs. She is gentle, is good in the car and is the perfect little lap dog and companion!
Wendy was rescued by us from a high kill shelter, after being found stray. We are looking for a loving home for this girl and and one who will spoil her like she deserves. She loves to be close, snuggle, and loves her people!

She does well for her baths, nail trims, and grooming and has been doing great on car rides to her appointments. She will need routine grooming (hair trims or brush outs) throughout the year.
