Gertrude - Chihuahua and Miniature Dachshund Dog for Adoption in New Haven, Connecticut

Gertrude is such a sweet and special girl, with the cutest mannerisms and most amazing personality! She is mellow, not a barker, loves to lounge around, is wonderful with dogs of all sizes, and has somewhat of a playful side, too, but is mainly a couch potato and lap dog. She is surely one to become an adopters little shadow, but entertains herself and loves a good nap, too. Gertrude is likely anywhere from 8-9 years old and about 12-14lbs. She is so gentle, is great in the car and is the perfect little lap dog and companion!
Gertrude likes to explore the yard, loves human attention and is very well behaved. Gertrude was rescued by us from a high kill shelter. We are looking for a loving home for this girl and and one who will spoil her like she deserves. She loves to be close, snuggle, and loves her people!
