Meet Liza!

Liza is a tiny Terrier Mix estimated to be around 7 years old, weighing just 9 pounds! She found her way to us as a stray and was not reclaimed. Now, this sweet little girl is searching for her forever home and family!

Liza arrived at the shelter feeling understandably nervous in her new and noisy surroundings. Since then, she has started to come out of her shell, especially when she gets some one-on-one time with her human friends. She warms up more quickly in a quieter setting and enjoys curling up on her people’s laps for some gentle affection. This teeny-tiny pup would make a wonderful lap dog! Liza also enjoys casual walks where she can take her time and sniff all the new smells along the way. While she loves spending time with her people, she can also be independent and is perfectly content doing her own thing. She has a soft spot for stuffy toys and especially loves the sound of the squeaker! Liza is a gentle girl who doesn’t mind being held or carried.

Liza would do well with kiddos aged 8 and older. She has the potential to live with another dog, but she would likely be just as content as the only dog in the home. A meet-and-greet with any resident dogs would take place at the shelter to make sure everyone is a good match. Liza also has the potential to live with a dog-savvy cat with proper introductions.

Liza is available now! She will need to go home through our Foster-to-Adopt program while she waits for her upcoming procedure. Once her surgery is complete, her adoption can be finalized!
